It's labeled as PowerShop Mezzanine and possibly made by Adaptive Solutions. The board was copyright back in 1995, placing it around the PPC era of Macintosh machines. Any information on this board?

Last weekend I got an old PowerMac G4 "Gigabit Ethernet" and it worked fine for a few hours. Then after plugging in my external HDD to copy some of the data over, the system went to sleep and wouldn't turn back on. I proceeded to turn off the Mac and unplug the HDD; once I rebooted, I was met with a long load time (about two minutes) with no Apple on the light-gray screen -- followed by the Finder icon with a question mark.
I looked up articles and forums to help, but so far nothing has worked. I have tried pressing Alt+R (Command+R) to get into the recovery menu -- and while the menu does appear just fine, there's no option for anything to boot from; it just shows me the "reload" icon and an arrow pointing to the right.
Another thing I tried doing was I burned an .iso of Mac OS X Tiger (the Power Mac has 10.4.11) and try loading that from Recovery mode, but it still does nothing; the disc doesn't appear in the menu. In fact, the disc barely spins in the drive; the LED just blinks a few times when the system powers on, then quickly stops trying to read the disc.
The only thing I can think to do now is go into OpenFirmware (I do this by pressing one of the buttons below Power), but I haven't found a solution that works here. I might try booting from the CD, but if the CD didn't show up in the Recovery mode, I doubt it would show up in OpenFirmware.
While in OpenFirmware, I went and entered a few commands, as advised by @Allan . Here is the output from

I have a mid-2004 PowerMac G5 that until recently was running fine. It had OS-X 10.3.5 installed. At one point the screen froze, no mouse, no keyboard. I powered it down and back up again. That's when I got the prohibitory symbol on screen.
- I have re-seated the hard drive cables, optical drive cables, the Video card, and the RAM chips.
- I have reset the SMU and the PRAM (repeatedly).
- I have removed the drives and re-formatted them on an external dock, they're fine.
- It will not start in safe mode or recovery mode.
- I was able to start it in Startup Manager, I ran the Apple Hardware Test (from the disc) and all the Hardware tested OK. I was able to start in Single-User mode, however it got stuck on "Still waiting for root device".
- Last resort was to again format the drives, start in Startup Manager, and run the original installation disc. It got partway through installation and locked up again. It will no longer even start the install.
This is where I ran out of talent. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm working on a PowerMac9,1 (Late 2004 PowerMac G5 with single core) that refuses to recognize any external boot devices on the option/alt boot manager screen, including Debian and the Mac OS X Leopard install disc. It only recognizes the internal Leopard install on the HDD. When booted to the Leopard install itself, it's able to mount external devices. For example, when using the Leopard install disc, the installer will open but upon rebooting will just go back to the HDD install.
Whenever it's booted into OpenFirmware, the fans run at full speed. Any attempt at using any boot commands off of USB or CD will hang or
Using the
reset-nvram
and reset-all
commands had no effect on either. Additionally PRAM has been reset.
When commands such as
dev /chosen
.properties
are run, the device chosen shows as non-existent (which it appears should reference the automatically selected boot device).
This device also has firmware version 5.2.2f5
, which has very few references when searched. It's not referenced on any official Apple sites leading me to think it was an unannounced update at a point.
Is there a way I could downgrade the openfirmware version, or have some further troubleshooting steps to have this current work?

In the first of the two it is clear that the case is copyrighted 2001, but in the second it only seems to specify one processor. Since I got this machine second hand and don't know its history, I have considered the fact the logic board or the CPU board may have been replaced. Still I am not sure exactly what machine I have.
Why does all of this even matter? I want to be able to start the machine up with a universal OS9 install, however the 2002 Quicksilver apparently doesn't allow this, and has to be installed from original install discs. I have wheat I believe are the correct discs coincidentally, and OS9 installed fine, however hangs upon a successful boot, unless extensions are disabled.
I really don't know what this machine is, and how I can find out. I have not started up the Apple Hardware Test CD I also have, so if you'd like me to do so and maybe get some info from its report please do ask. I don't even know if it will start up. I'll update this once I have tested it.
Thank you for any replies.

the machine shows it only has one processor, making me think its a Power Macintosh G4 800 (QS 2002)800 MHz PowerPC 7455* (G4)
. The case itself has these two notes:

First-off, let me preface this question by stating that I know nothing to very little about computers, especially Apple computers. That being said, I have a MacBook Pro A1278 model. About a month ago, smoke started coming out of the top row of keys on the keyboard (not good at all - that much I do know); so, I powered it down. Then it would not power up at all. This morning, I tried plugging in the adapter and, lo and behold, it started to fire up. However, the progress bar only moves about a third of the way across before it shuts down again. It does this whether or not the adapter is plugged in or not, so I am thinking that it is not the adapter or the battery. If I continue to hold down the power button, it was going into my Desktop. However, as soon as I release it, within about 2 seconds, it shuts down again. Also, now when I continue to hold the power button down, it only makes it about halfway and then shuts off again.
Could it be my power supply? something else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it is a work computer. Thanks.

I have an old Power Mac G4, for which I acquired an AirPort card, and tried to follow these simple instructions from YouTube but it turns out that the card does not physically fit into the slot. It's too wide.
I've attached 3 photos to show the comparative width of the card and the slot, and the nature of the slot it needs to fit into. As you can see, it's quite different from the hardware shown in the video tutorial.
What I'd like to know, is what kind or model of AirPort card does this Mac take? I assumed it was the type shown in the photos, but that's obviously wrong.
