Unfortunately, I do not see any possibilities to do so in the official Amazon Kindle App.
Please help if you know how to do it. Are there any alternative apps that will let me annotate E-books?

Tried Kindle Fire Unbrick Utility which is failing saying " *device not found* " . Same goes with Kindle Fire System Restore tool for Kindle Fire 8.9.
So the problem is storage part of tablet not getting detected. Due to which it is not possible to send/ copy system restore images / original rom / any custom rom to the tablet.
Can anyone help ?

This question is inspired by the answer I received to this question: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/227031/what-is-this-strange-symbol-when-i-try-to-play-youtube-on-kindle/227060#227060
User @Banal Vulgarian reports that he has the same problem as I do in Silk Browser, but a specialized Youtube app works. I downloaded a specialized Youtube app and experienced the same success.
But I am suspicious of this app. Is this a legit app published by Google/Youtube,or is it sort of a "bootleg" app developed outside of Google's supervision which may be risky to my device?
Here is the app info:
Here you see the app in the Kindle store search results, with a non-standard Youtube logo (minus!), it has the best reviews of all results (plus!), and the most reviews of all results (plus!). Inexplicably it is the third result rather than the first result (minus!)
I'm looking at the one right in the middle with a blue logo (unusual for Youtube) but it says the publisher is Youtube.com
So I would assume that Kindle Store would sort of vet the names of publishers to make sure they are not impersonating a major company, right? But now look when I click on the contact info for the developer of this somewhat questionable app:
That email address looks a bit sketchy to me. Like a Youtube impersonator, to be honest.
Is this app officially sanctioned by Youtube? If not, what are the risks to me by having it on my Kindle?

Most of the Android applications I've found record phone calls, which is not what I want to do.

There are emulators which run on Kindles but I can't seem to find an emulator which runs on a computer and emulates a Kindle device. Closest I can find is for authors checking page formats.
I know Kindles run Android, but there are definitely differences in the OS. I'd like to emulate the full environment, everything from using Amazon Coins as a payment method to cross-app interaction and functionality.
**Are there Kindle emulators, and if so why is Kindle not included alongside other Android versions in most emulators (like MEmu, etc)? If not, why not?**
Note: I don't want this to be a "shopping" question. I don't care about the relative merits of different emulators, if any. A list of emulators would be useful, but I really want to know why emulating Kindle OS isn't a standard feature in existing emulators.

I have just bought a Kindle and the cool thing about it is you have an email address
@kindle.com
where you can send your books and it automatically converts it to a .azw and syncs it with your Kindle. I was under the impression it would also sync the books with _all_ your devices, including the Kindle app on my Android phone (Isn't this the _whispersync_ thing?). However, it doesn't seem to do this. Is there way to also sync all my books to my phone as well as my Kindle automatically?

I attempted to install Cyanogenmod on my Tate, according to the directions in the Wiki.
https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_tate
At Step 3, number 5 (fastboot -i 0x1949 oem recovery), the kindle does not boot to recovery, but just shows the logo, and then goes back to Fastboot, even with a non-fastboot cable.
If I restart without a cable attached, I get a boot loop (even when I hold down the volume button, as described).
Perhaps this is relevant: before I started all of this, my Tate was already rooted. Was it stupid to apply the exploit in that case? I only realized this later. If so, is there any way out?
BTW, I'm on Linux, have a working adb and a fastboot cable.
Thanks!

I'm running Cyanogenmod 11 (KitKat 4.4.4) on my 1st Gen (Otter) Kindle Fire, with GApps installed.
I can install other apps just fine, I installed Slack with no issues. However, when I went to install Google Calendar, I got this error:
Incompatible with other applications(s) using the same shared user ID
I've been looking through forums and I haven't found anything that has fixed it. I've tried a fresh GApps installation, wiping the cache, reinstalling the ROM, nothing has worked. I tried to look into the files and could not find a
packages.xml
file, so I cannot take out the line of code I've seen mentioned that could be causing issues.
I'm seriously stumped by this and would love any input!
