Is it possible to dual-boot Android with LineageOS?
I am going to get a new Android device (Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 with 4G/LTE with latest Android) and I am thinking about the possibility of dual-booting with LineageOS (CyanogenMod fork)? Is it possible? *I own a microSD card if that is a necessity.*

Battery drain on Cyanogen OS 13.1
I have a OnePlus One running stock Cyanogen OS. Before the upgrade to 13.1, I was getting 24-48 hours of battery life, but now I'm only getting 6-8 hours. Wiping the system cache doesn't help. Hard reset doesn't help. What can I do?

Does any one have idea how to use both VoLTE and CyanogenMOD both? Currently my phone's CyanogenOS is allowing me to keep only one at a time :) But I want to use cyanogenMod as it is marshmallow and nightly build updates are released.

I have a WileyFox Swift which I recently updated to Nougat. Wileyfox runs Cyanogen natively. I have not rooted it or hacked it in any way. I installed the update by clicking on a reminder that kept popping up telling me to update. So everything has been done in the official manufacturer-defined way. It has two sims. When I reboot it asks for the sim lock PIN for one of the sims (the other does not have one) so I know it is detecting the hardware. Also I am able to receive SMS on one of the sims. But I cannot make calls, receive calls, or send SMS. When I go to "Settings -> SIM cards" it says both sims are empty. When I try to make a call, instead of giving me the choice of sim, it only offers emergency call. I have tried rebooting, re-seating the sims, going into recovery mode and clearing the cache partition.

I have a Wileyfox Spark X running Cyanogen OS 13.0 and use the Gmail app and the stock email app for personal and work mails. The stock e-mail runs into problems when I reply to an e-mail thread. Instead of sending the mail, it goes to an Outbox, its status changes to 'Sending...' for all eternity and there is no way to make it re-try. That makes it practically unreachable - the only thing I can do from here is deleting it. New messages such as ones with only 'test' in them are sent, but not usually straight away - often only after I have gone into settings - incoming server and made it re-authenticate. All in all the stock email app seems to work in a completely other way than I am used to or not at all. Does anyone know the cause of this strange behaviour and how to change it? Previously on CM12 I was running TypeApp which was brilliant with Outlook Exchange (which seems to be bad system for phones in the 1st place). It seems wrong though to have the stock app there doing nothing...

How may I disable/uninstall them permanently without rooting?

Can't connect to mobile internet with CyanogenOS 13

On Google, I found a similar problem on Reddit, which describes exactly what I've got right now: https://www.reddit.com/r/cyanogenmod/comments/3xm0mo/mobile_data_not_working_cm13/ The problem is that, even though I do have cellular reception, and everything (WiFi, SMS, calling) works just fine, whenever I turn off WiFi (or walk outside WiFi) it doesn't connect to the internet using a data connection (3G/4G etc). What I've tried so far (based on that Reddit post's comments) - Reboot my phone - Toggle Airplane mode on/off - Switch preferred network setting to 3G and then back to 4G - Enable Data Roaming (even though I'm still in the country this should be active) - Going to *Settings>Cellular networks>Access Point Names* and trying each of the available options - Check my remaining MB-credit on my subscription (I still have >100MB remaining) - *this is actually irrelevant since I do not have an exclamation point at my reception-icon* The only thing I haven't tried is some kind of reinstall/rollback of my OS. My Cyanogen version is 13.0-ZNH0EAS45F When I go to my *SIM 1 status*, I see that "Service status" says "Data: In service", but (even though my WiFi is turned off) the "Mobile network state" is "Disconnected". Can I force my phone to connect to the mobile network somehow? PS: This problem has existed for about 2 hours now. Before that it worked just fine. Update: One of these things might have fixed it. I'm not sure. It suddenly started working again, even though between the time of posting and now I did not change anything about my settings *at all*. I have (after it started working) reverted all changes to my settings, and it still works. I have no idea how this worked, but it works.

Background: I want a rooted Android phone, but I have never dabbled with rooting etc before. I own a YU Yuphoria device (which comes with Cyanogen OS). It seems to me there are two ways to get root access: - install CyanogenMod on the phone, or - root the stock Cyanogen OS that comes with the phone What are the pros and cons of either option over the other? If I install CyanogenMod, will I get quicker updates to the OS (including new Android releases)? Does the update happen automatically (or at least very simply), or does it involve some procedure (using the PC to flash/run commands etc) to be followed each time? Currently I am tilting towards CyanogenMod because I think (though I might be wrong) that it will allow automatic regular updates without having to re-root each time. On the other hand, I have read that rooting the stock Cyanogen OS will require the re-rooting each time after updating the OS. Any differences in stability between CyanogenMod (the stable releases, not nightly) and Cyanogen OS?
