For the purpose of flashing custom ROM I flashed Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus (X606F) with Android 9 ROM. I used SP Flash Tool. Now the tablet won't power on. Pressing buttons does nothing. Can't invoke fastboot nor recovery mode. Red LED indicating charging is the only thing the tablet is giving me now. I've tried to restore the device using official Lenovo's Rescue Tool. Process of restoring gets stuck on 40% and won't go on. Hard reset (pressing and holding volume buttons + power button for few secs) isn't doing anything. What else I can try ? I've followed the steps outlined and I got to the point where Windows doesn't recognize the tablet: enter image description here

I have a Lenovo Tab P11 2nd Gen (TB132FU). After an upgrade to Android 14, the custom "Smart Launcher" preinstalled on this tablet keeps crashing. This sometimes interrupts actions I take in the UI. Even though I have installed another launcher (Microsoft Launcher), the old launcher seems to be running and crashing in the background. On my main account, it crashes less frequently, but I also have a Google Family link installed, and my kids cannot use the tablet anymore with their restricted accounts. I have connected the Tablet to the dev tools and received the following logs:

I would be willing to install another ROM or maybe even downgrade the tablet to e.g. Android 13.

I have an old Lenovo tablet, device model is Lenovo Tab4 8 Plus (TB-8704x). Since it stopped receiving updates after Android 8.0, I wanted to install a more recent version of Android from unofficial builds available. I have gotten the ROM from following two sources: 1. Pixel Experience: https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-unofficial-10-0-pixel-experience-10-for-lenovo-tab-4-8-plus-tb8704f-x-n.4221955/ 2. LineagheOS: https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-unofficial-10-0-tbx304f-l-x-lineageos-17-1-for-lenovo-tab4-8-rom-for-the-lenovo-thinkpad-tablet.4259205/ . I have a vague memory of the setup step so I grabbed a few ROMs and compatible TWRP, then I followed the following steps: 1. Unlock the boot loader from Setting and enable debug mode on device. 2. Unlock the bootloader using command fastboot oem unlock-go, or it was fastboot oem unlock. I don't remember which one worked exactly but one of these did the job. 3. Reboot the device in fastboot mode and flash the recovery using following command: fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.3-0-tb_8704x.img. Probably a mistake. Its not required since you can just boot a custom recovery which I did next anyways. 4. Boot into TWRP using command fastboot boot TWRP-3.4.0-0_TB-8704X.img. 5. I wiped Cache and Data from Wipe > Advanced Wipe menu in TWRP. 6. Already inserted was SD card with ZIPs of ROMs above. I selected Install menu and selected only one of the ZIP files to install on my tablet. TWRP installation screen stays there for hours and installation doesn't finish. I tried with other ZIP as well and same result. On normal reboot of the device its stuck in boot loop. What can I do to fix this? foersn

But when I connect it to the PC, instead of getting into flash mode, it's charging. I guess my bootloader is probably locked. When I connected, errors like code 10, code 51, code 49, etc. were shown individually. I thought the problem was on my PC, but the same problem occurred in others too. Please suggest what's the problem and also ways to tackle it.

And then I accidentally deleted my TWRP backup and now my Lenovo tab has no recovery or OS. I downloaded the firmware file from the software (official Rescue and Smart Assistant) and extracted the boot, system, recovery image files, and flashed them to my tablet using adb. When in fastboot mode, the image files are being sent to the tablet and are even getting flashed without any error, but the thing is they are not getting correctly flashed into the tablet because the boot loop is just being repeated again and again. Boot loader state --- Unlocked

I've been trying to root my Lenovo Tablet for past few weeks and I've got no success. I found out an article in XDA showing how to root it but when I tried I got stuck in the third step which was unlocking the bootloader. When I typed fastboot oem unlock-go in my laptop and hit enter the adb and fastboot software just kept displaying *"waiting for device"* and nothing happened. I have been searching whole internet to find a reliable tutorial because I am a newbie in this rooting thing. Even One Click Root doesn't have any solution. And I don't want to have any spywares in my device therefore I don't want to root it through any one click root services (like One click root, King Root, etc) I apologize if I am missing something. *Any help would be highly appreciated.* Edit:— It seems like the OP of this post faced the same problem. Can anyone tell me how to use the sudo code? I will try to install the drivers (as pointed out by an answer) and then edit here.

We have purchased 35 Lenovo M8 tablets to use for online survey data collection. The all have 4G and will not be used on wifi. We will give the tablets to children and ask them to fill in an online survey on Chrome/Google app. Setting them up has been a nightmare. Installing all the updates etc is an ongoing process. I have signed up for a google account using my institutional email address (the uni I work at) and am signing myself in to each, but I can't apply safesearch settings due to it being an adult account. I am sure there is an easier way but unsure how to proceed. I tried googling some childish buzzwords to bring up adult content and was easily able to turn safesearch off. I have found some solutions referring to 'Google play for education' that seems outdated. I have been manually downloading the Find My Device App too so I can name each tablet with a number and we can find them if one goes missing. Edit: I can see it has also auto-downloaded a bunch of games like Cat Tile and Booking.com with the updates. If there is a way to bulk delete these from all the devices this would save my weekednd.

I tried to install a custom ROM on my Moto M, and failed in the attempt. I uploaded TWRP, and misguidedly executed adb flashing lock afterwards. Now my phone says:
Red State.
Your device has failed verification and may not work properly.
Your device will boot in 5 seconds.
Image But it does not boot. The screen simply goes black, and reboots to the same screen. I can enter the "meta mode", but I don't know what use that is, because neither in the normal mode nor in the meta mode the phone recognized by adb or fastboot. Linux still recognizes the phone a some sort of USB device, though:
usb 3-3: new high-speed USB device number 2 using xhci_hcd
usb 3-3: new full-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd
usb 3-3: New USB device found, idVendor=0e8d, idProduct=2000
usb 3-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
usb 3-3: Product: MT65xx Preloader
usb 3-3: Manufacturer: MediaTek
cdc_acm 3-3:1.1: ttyACM0: USB ACM device
usbcore: registered new interface driver cdc_acm
cdc_acm: USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems and ISDN adapters
usb 3-3: USB disconnect, device number 3
Pressing volume down + power button does nothing. The phone simply remains off. If I keep pressing the power button a long time the phone vibrates, but still does not boot. I have no I idea what I can do. Did I brick my Moto M? I don't really care anymore about custom ROMs or stock ROMs, I simply want my phone to work again at all. :( Please tell me if you have any ideas or suggestions!

I extract splash.img from /dev/block/by-name/splash with the following command: dd if=/dev/block/by-name/splash of=/mnt/sdcard/ But can't get the image out of splash.img. I use the following commands to get images out: ffmpeg -hide_banner -f rawvideo -vcodec rawvideo -pix_fmt rgb24 -s 1280x800 -i splash.img -vframes 1 -y output_splash.png and ffmpeg -hide_banner -f rawvideo -vcodec rawvideo -pix_fmt rgb565 -s 1280x800 -i splash.img -vframes 1 -y output_splash.png And other commands that I found on the internet. But in all cases, the output image is wrong. I want to get the image out to check whether the extracted partition is correct or not. However, a complete guide to changing the splash image is accepted.

I wanted to connect a USB external mic to a Lenovo tablet (P11) with only one USB Type C port (charge port). It did not work because apparently the tablet does not support OTG protocol. It shouldn't be a big issue, except that now the tablet thinks the charger is connected all the time, but loose, or badly connected, and it's continually notifying to adjust the connection. The battery icon shows as charging all the time, even though the charging port is empty. Any idea how to solve this, and why it may have happened?? Thank you for your help!

My previous Lenovo tablet with Android 7 had no problem with this procedure: 1. I connect it via a USB cable to a PC with Windows 7. 2. I select the device (tablet) in the Windows Explorer. 3. I open the (virtual) folder **“Internal shared storage”** (or the other, “SD Card”, as I had the SD card inserted in it, too). Then I sow directories and files on the tablet, and I was able to copy them from tablet to PC and vice versa, rename them, delete them, and so on. In my new tablet Lenovo with Android 11 and the same PC with Windows 7, I am able to perform only first 2 steps – then I see only an empty window, no folders in it (i.e., no “Internal shared storage” or other directory / file in it). When I try to copy a file to that empty folder, I obtain the message as > It is not possible to copy the item. > The device stopped to respond, or is disconnected. Is it something bad with settings? Is it possible to fix it? *Note:* I may go around and copy files from the tablet to the USB stick and then from the USB stick to the PC, but this is so annoying and slow… (The USB stick is connected with a short converting cable to the same USB port on the tablet as the USB cable connecting the tablet and PC in the previous step 1.)

I have a Lenovo TB125FU device, that is the "technical name" for the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus 3rd Gen. I was trying to root it. I already have unlocked bootloader and had PixelExperience Plus by Ponces ROM. I accidentally flashed magisk.zip instead of magisk.img to /boot using fastboot flash boot magisk.zip. I tried to enter both recovery mode, recovery mode LRM (Lenovo recovery mode) and failed. First recovery mode was I guess non-existent because of the Android 10 fastbootd change, however I was able to boot into LRM, but tried fastboot reboot fastboot from just fastboot, not fastbootd. That didn't change the bootloop, but didn't let me be able to go back into bootloader. So just fastboot, I suppose that the bootloop after the command is the system trying to go to fastbootd. I tried the hard reset/shutdown mode but didn't work. After doing it, I tried once again rebooting to LRM but it didn't work. The black screen that appears when it's mid bootloop just stays there longer. I tried adb and fastboot commands during that period but nothing happened. I tried volume down which is what I would use to reboot to bootloader from LRM but nothing happened. fastboot devices command outputted nothing. I do not know how to fix it and orange state is gone, it doesn't appear anymore when rebooting, it just shows Lenovo and Powered by Android. I need help please. I'm certain that it's just a soft brick but I have no idea of how to fix it. I don't care about data. I just want a functional system again.
