The compability section in the playstore says *Android 5.0 and up* required, but the device is on Android 11. Also it says *Compability: Won't work on your device*. Why is that?

My Samsung Galaxy A51's screen broke; I got the purple screen of death . I was able to backup up the data using Samsung Switch before the screen was completely taken over by the purple ooze. However, I ended up replacing the A51 with an LG phone and now I don't know how to restore the backup I made using Samsung Switch; I can't use the Samsung Switch app, as that only works for Samsung phones.
About the backup files: There are numerous folders, each containing a backup file for a category of data (e.g., contacts, messages, etc.). I really only need the contacts and the messages. The file extension for the contacts is "spbm" and the file extension for the messages is "smem". After googling these file extensions, it appears that these are proprietary file types that are exclusively used by Smart Switch. Sounds like I will not be able to restore this data without using Smart Switch.
Is it possible to restore my data onto the LG Phone using the backup I made with Samsung Switch?
I would just make another backup using my old phone, but the display is completely gone; I'd be flying blind.

More context: I need to transfer data between two phones: An Samsung Galaxy A70 (2019) and a Fairphone 4. Both will be running stock and Android 11.
What is the best way to basically mirror or copy my old A70 to the new Fairphone 4?
I used Smartswitch when previously switching but I don't know if on can switch from a Galaxy phone to a NON-Galaxy phone using Smart switch.
Samsung's Websites more or less aggressively markets Smart Switch to be the way to switch to a Galaxy phone from your old potentially NON-Galaxy phone. Of course there is some marketing talk involved in there trying to promote Galaxy Phones.
In this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kB3r9O2BACw) another way is showcased but I didn't see this way when switching to and from an Android phone prior.
I am afraid the A70 is going to die soon and I am unsure if my Smart Switch backup on my PC will be sufficient so I am asking this question before the Fairphone 4 even arrived.
Thank you for your help in advance! (and sorry if my English isn't perfect)

The normal way to transfer apps and data from one's old phone to a new one is to use **Smart Switch** It has never transferred paid apps before, never mind their data.
My phone's touch screen has stopped working. Fortunately, the stylus still does.
- I need to backup my data on a Windows PC
- When I hand my phone over, I will get a loan phone.
- I need to restore my data to this phone
- When my phone is fixed, I need to repeat the process.
I am expecting that paid apps and secure apps such as banking and possibly any apps using TFA will not transfer. The last thing I want to do is to spend hours getting these apps to work twice.
**Is there any way to reliably transfer everything from my phone to Windows and then back?**
I have a **Samsung Note 20** Ultra and **Windows 10** PC.
I do have an old S9, but it has not got enough memory to receive everything (unless I don't copy much of the stuff). I already have all my music, videos, and photos on the SD card. But there are a lot of emails and content from WhatsApp.

I have two apps on my phone (PicsArt & Phonto) that can handle fonts on images.
It took me a long time to install fonts on these apps, especially the non-English fonts.
My old phone was Samsung A70, and the new one is Samsung Galaxy Note 9. They have Android 9 and Android 10, respectively.
I seamlessly moved most of the staff from A70 to Note90 using the SmartSwitch app. However, the related data for these two apps have not been moved.
I tried to find the related folders that contain these apps' data to copy them, but it did not work for Phonto and no such folders in the PicsArt case. I could not find any solution on the Internet either.
Note: The PicsArt on the new phone will not even let me install the fonts again without subscribing and paying for this feature.
So, is there a way to move my old fonts for these two apps, especially the PicsArt?
What can I do to avoid the re-searching and reinstallation hassle for hundreds of fonts one by one?

I recently switched phones for the first time in several years. My vague recollection from past switches was that it was fairly smooth. Here is what happened this time.
I switched from a Galaxy S9, Android 10, to a Galaxy S9+, also Android 10.
After starting the already factory-reset S9+ I entered my Google account details and followed the prompts.
Said prompts led me to use Smart Switch, which I have used several times in the past. Texts, call logs, screen background, icon placement all transferred successfully in a few minutes. The phone then finished installing all the apps and that was it.
But soon I noticed that no app settings have been transferred; this ended up cascading in a couple hours of looking for passwords, re-loading my credit cards in my pay apps, having to manually backup some apps, and even having to call the IT department at work to reset the MFA settings and register the new phone. And several minor problems with other apps.
All in all, not terrible but it was quite a task to be fully functional again with the new phone. My original plan was to switch phones again fairly soon, and now I'm dreading that moment. My question is, did I do something wrong? Is there a way to have a smoother transition between Samsung phones?

I am having a major problem with my Galaxy J3 (besides just being a J3 ^_^). The thing has been doing random reboots when in the middle of work, went to the bios screen a couple times, then started trying to install (an update?) which failed, then showed the android icon falling, syntax came up saying erasing, then started scrolling files and said "formatting".
In a panic, not knowing what that meant, I pulled out the battery and left it out a few minutes. When it was put back in it rebooted as normal but that was the last straw. Contacted Samsung and ordered a new phone. I've been successful with Smart Switch for the mains like contacts, photos etc. But Samsung neglected to clue me in that Smart Switch has to work for literally 2 days to move everything? Is this true?
Anyway, still need apps and "Memos" which had no visible backup and restore. All I can find is to manually share to Gmail which would take a LONG time since I have literally over 500 memos. Probably should have done it anyway because now the phone has gone to not powering on at all. I've had the battery tested and found it has some damage (over heating?) but the new battery isn't giving a charge.
At this point I could care less about the J3 phone (horrible thing) but I do need those memos for sure! Anyone know how to access them when the phone is apparently dead? Or where on the phone folders if connected to your laptop? Any recommended data recovery tools you can vouch for?
Don't mind paying a little for good results but of course free is always best if it does the job. Thanks for any advice!

I am installing my wife's new phone using Samsung Smart Switch.
It nicely installs all apps, including Outlook, however it does not copy the **account settings** for her Exchange mail.
I know her Outlook mail address, mail server name and password, but have not been able to find her *domain setting* in any documentation or in the settings of her old phone (domain\username).
Is there any way to discover that domain setting on her **old** mobile? I have tried to find it, without any luck. And service desk of her work is unavailable during the weekend. Hence my question.

I have a Samsung galaxy tab s4 with several user profiles. I bought a new Samsung galaxy tab s6 lite that I would like to migrate to. However, when I used smart switch, it only transfers the admin account without the additional user profiles. Smart switch does not seem to support user profiles at all. Third party apps like CloneIT don’t seem to connect. Is the normal method in this case manually copying everything by hand? What is the best way to migrate multiple user profile data to a new Samsung tablet?

I can't check this out because my phone just died. It is a "Note" app with a yellow icon and it comes with the OS.
The backup to my PC was made with Samsung Smart Switch.
Where are the notes located in the backup, and how can I read it?

I mean to transfer only selected apps from my J7 2015 (Phone #1, P1) to my new J7 Prime (Phone #2, P2) using Samsung Smart Switch (SSS).
Some of these apps are already installed in P2.
Since different versions of an app may use a different file structure to handle its data and work, I conceive that SSS is not smart enough to be aware of this (it would be too much asking from SSS), and therefore that the switch requires first to have the same version of the apps to be switched in both phones, for the transferred data to be operative in the new phone.
**Is that correct or not?**
**Can anyone provide authoritative answers/links?**
**Did anyone had specific experiences with different versions of apps (which app/version in each phone)?**
PS: At first, I had a non-updated version in my old phone, and SSS was not going through (and not throwing any error or warning message). Then I updated SSS and it worked. So at least SSS requires some degree of "similarity" in its own versions.
PS2: In some apps, I can confirm that login info was not properly transferred, and I had to login again in the new phone.
