I use Ebook Reader . I attempted to use the download option on the MyBook list (the three dots). The file that came was incompatible with my ebook reader.
It was: Warriors_2_Fire_and_Ice-epub.acsm
I tried renaming the book in various ways such as:
- Warriors_2_Fire_and_Ice-epub
- Warriors_2_Fire_and_Ice.epub
However, I couldn't import either of those files into my ebook reader.
The extension .acsm might be the offline extension for ebooks. I thought I had seen it as an epub before.
So if that is the case, can someone advise me on how to convert the downloaded book to a way that I can import it into my ebook reader library?

How do I make sure my notes and highlights from Google Play Books are saved when I factory reset my Android phone?
I need to unlock my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, Android ver. 4.2.2, and I'm not sure if the notes I took on my books using the Play Books app will still be there after the reset. I need all those notes for school and it would take forever to copy them all down.

Personal google play books, how to make them voice-readable?
I am trying to load a couple of personal ebooks on my google play account, so that they are readable by google play books. The books are DRM-free, also. Is there any way, to make them voice-readable? If not, what are the prerequisites? To all my tries till now, the "read aloud" option is disabled.

Google Play Books - Navigate back to reading passage text
Often in ebooks there are links embedded in paragraphs that reference some image or figure in the previous chapters or sections. Once I've clicked on it (and viewed that image), how do I get back to the paragraph I was reading? Hitting android's back button always exits the app.

This is a simple question, but in 2 parts:
1. I want my entire ePUB library stored *locally* on my Android device, so I can use Google Play Books to read them without the need of being connected to my cloud library or any other "online" storage.
2. Is it possible to configure Google Play Book to save/read the books library in the Android's external SD Card, *without* the need of storing them in the internal memory?
If you know the answer, or any tips about how to configure this scenario, it will be very appreciated.

Google Playbooks is too huge - 1.4GB
I am seeing that Google play books consumes 1.4 GB. I use Play Books only to view my PDF books and at most use 50MB of content. But I don't understand how it can consume so much space... Even a graphic game takes only 800MB. So can anyone point me out to why this happens??

If I turn on the TalkBack feature then the "Read Aloud" option appears, but it is painful navigating the device since all the other accessibility options are now on.
Is there any way to enable the "Read Aloud" menu option without enabling all the other accessibility features that go along with it.

I have purchased a digital book on Google Play. To read a book, the Google Play Books application downloads a copy to my Android device. This all works as expected.
The problem is that I read this book only intermittently, and when I return to the Google Play Books application, sometimes the application needs to redownload the book. This is a problem in situations where data is unavailable (on transit, for example). I guess some kind of periodic cache purging is taking place.
Are there settings that will prevent the book from being removed from the Android device? I have plenty (~5GB) of storage space available, and I would prefer that the book simply be saved until I manually remove it.

Does anyone know how to change the language of a book in Google Play Books?
I uploaded a portuguese book (epub) to Google Play Books, but when I highlight a word, the app does not recognize that the word is in portuguese and returns me the definition as if it is an english word.
When I buy a portuguese book from Google Play it works properly, but not for uploaded files.
The epub file language is correctly set to Portuguese.
Any way to solve this problem?

I have several pdf books ranging from textbooks for class and free downloads from linked in that I moved to play books to make for easier reading from my tablet.
I moved them to google drive and uploaded them using my tablet but all of them have their title as "unknown filename" even though the title is on the first page and the name of the pdf file.
>Is there any way to give the books their proper titles?
I have looked at the play books faq, tapped everything I can in play books, and I looked at stack overflow, here, and google and haven't found an answer.
Everything else seems to work fine save for the organization of my library.
