How can I move apps to the external SD card on LG Optimus 2X P990?
I have put a SD 16 GB in my LG Optimus 2X P990, but it seems that the phone won't save on it. Is it possible to save/move apps to the external SD card? Or even set it to do it automatically? I have already formatted the SD card twice, and it still is not working properly.

LG-P990 (optimus 2x) with CyanogenMod 7 turns off suddenly and battery indicator goes straight from 100% to 0%

It didn't want to turn on, and then my battery dropped to 0%, even though it had been at 100% a minute earlier. I connected my P990 to a charger, and then my battery percentage indicator was at 100% again. Why? I hate when my phone turns off and black screen of death until I plug a charger in! I did a data wipe/hard reset the but problem is still there.

Bricked LG Optimus P999 using ROM Manager

I have the LG Optimus P999 from Wind Mobile. I downloaded ROM Manager and tried to flash a Cyanogenmod ROM (cm-7.2.0-p999.zip). The backup and flash said they went OK. But when it rebooted, it froze at the second LG logo and won't go anywhere. Booting into recovery mode did nothing. It took many tries to get the LG Optimus unbricking tool to recognize my phone, but I finally got Clockworkmod Recovery to install on it. Now when I boot into recovery mode, nothing works because it can't mount the SD Card. My next attempt was to flash stock ROM back to it, but I can no longer get the tool to recognize my phone. Have I totally bricked my phone?

I have a very strange problem: I have an LG Optimus 2x which uses Cyanogen mod 7. I've had this installed for almost 1 year now, and haven't made any updates or installed any apps for months. A few days ago, I connected the phone to my laptop to transfer some stuff, and I noticed that the touch screen wasn't responding. Neither did the Android buttons, which I suspect use the same touch sensor as the screen. Everything else seemed fine, physical buttons (power, volume) work ok, the phone is detected when connected to usb, notifs on screen and such work ok. After multiple trial & errors, I've discovered that if I shut down my phone, and re-start it, when it gets to the screen where I must input my SIM Pin code, the touch screen is still not working, but if I wait like 1-2 minutes, it starts working. From here on end it works fine until I close (lock) the phone. At that point if I press the power button to unlock it, the lock screen is unoperable as the touch screen no longer responds. I can re-do this over and over. My question is then: anyone has an idea what this can be and how to fix it? For example on my Asus tablet, there's a hard reset option (hold volume down and power while rebooting). I've used this to cure that Asus tablet of the fact that sound was no longer working all of a sudden. I haven't managed to find a similar option for Optimus LG 2x. Also, is it safe to assume that the screen is not phisically broken, since a reboot and 2-3 minutes of waiting makes it so that it works just fine? === UPDATE This really sucks. I've whiped everything and installed the latest cyanogen mod. Still the same issue. Simply put: the screen has to stay on for like 2-3 minutes before the touch starts to work. If the screen is closed (by closing or restarting the phone) touch will not work again until the screen is on for 2-3 minutes. Kind of a hair-puller.

I didn't want to wait till the third quarter of 2012 before I got some IC on my phone. Now that we're almost that far into 2012, I was wondering how I could restore my phone back to LG's stock Gingerbread software - the one that i had before I flashed CM7 - and unroot my phone. I have lost my backup so I cant restore. I'll have to use smart or NVFlash or something like that. How can I restore my LG Optimus 2X P990 back to original LG software, so that I am ready for updating it to LG's ICS release?

I think I forgot to wipe my cache and something else when I installed Cyanogenmod 7 - which I could reboot into just fine. However, when I went to go back and switch to my vanilla Optimus 2X backup (using the ClockWorkMod Recovery - backup, not advanced backup), I reboot and I get the LG loading screen with the police-line loading bar, but after a couple of seconds that loading bar stops moving and the whole thing is frozen. So, I take out the battery and go back into ClockWorkMod Recovery using the Vol Down + Power shortcut (which only works in about a third of the start-up attempts, for some reason). Where can I go from here to restore to a factory-reset version of the Optimus 2X's 2.2 Froyo? Update 10/06/2012 6:54PM +8 UST: If, in CWM Recovery, I clean the cache and wipe user data, then install CyanogenMod7 from .zip again, it boots and runs fine.

This didn't help anything. I tried adding the VID manually to adb_usb.ini. The VID I found in device manager was USB\VID_17EF&PID_4807&REV_3134 so I entered the line 0x17EF into the file. This didn't help either. How can I get the p999 working as a dev phone? Does anyone know the right VID entry for the p999? Also, when I plug the phone into my Windows 7 computer, the phone charges, but does not prompt any sort of device discovery message from windows... does this indicate some other problem? My USB ports definitely work.

I see that it's based on the offical LG Optimus 2x ROM, but I decided to flash it back to Android 4.0.4 ICS again, the one I was coming from. But I can't get into ClockworkMod Recovery. I didn't find ROM Manager on my phone after flash (it works, except for Market and has **very** many bugs), so I reinstalled it by sending the *.apk to my email. I installed CWM successfully, but I can't get into it. I have tried the volume and power button method and reboot from ROM Manager. None of them worked. My phone does works (call and such), but I can't get into CWM, which is **really** annoying.

> **Possible Duplicate:** > [Where can I find stock or custom ROMs for my Android device?](https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/17152/where-can-i-find-stock-or-custom-roms-for-my-android-device) I am really busy trying to find a ROM that fits my personality for my LG Optimus 2X P990. I have used CM7. CM9, CM10 and MIUI. I really like MIUI v4 and above, but i haven't found any MIUI v4 ROM that is stable enough for daily basis. I really like ROMS that has kind of flat buttons as seen in the metro UI and ics and above roms. I like it professional with not like big really graphic intense UI's. I have searched a lot, and i have looked into the Prada rom for the LG Optimus 2X, but i couldn't find a download link. Do anyone of you have a ROM that is fast, professional and stable enough for daily basis? Thanks

I have an LG Optimus 2X P990, which is running Android 4.0.4, ParanoidAndroid ROM. I have downloaded Chrome for Android from the Google Play Store and it works like a charm in some places, but others just dont work. For example, one of the most important features to me is tabs. Once I click the tabs button, it doesn't cause any errors or exceptions, all it does is close Chrome. The same thing happens with some other features like gestures and such - it just brings me back to my homescreen. I have tried this on several ROMs, but none work. Is there a fix for this? Is it a known issue? How can I fix it, or is it something with my phone's hardware that simply will never work?
