I have just bought a second-hand Oppo Find X6 Pro and it has a global ROM on it. I don't know how they did it because there's no global version of the phone. I think they might have tweaked the firmware because everything seems valid, except it hasn't got any updates and its security patch is of June which is pretty behind for this device. This is the version on it: PGEM10_13.1.1.144(EX01). The (EX01) OPPO Reno 10 Pro 5G has it and it stands for a European version, I think. I'm using an OPPO Find N5, a foldable phone. It has a flip case where the front is protected and you can flip the cover open to see the front screen, and it's otherwise closed via a small magnet. When the phone is unfolded - I'm having a problem where if the front cover is opened up: - The find function on Google Chrome turns on. - When watching a YouTube video, it acts like I clicked on the video, showing the controls. Does anyone know how to disable this?

Can you please advise me how to grant APP's access to Music and Audio? Android version: ColorOS 15, OPPO As screenshots, the APP "Pydriod 3" is not listed to have access to Music and Audio (Settings, neither in Allowed nor Not Allowed). Seems no way to manage the Allowed or Not Allowed on the Music and Audio settings. The "..." on the top right is not helpful too. On the other hand, the APP itself, seems has no place to "ask for" the permission to access Music and Audio.

I used to own a OnePlus branded phone which had the hardware to 'wake on alarm', and there was a software switch in settings to turn it off. I have looked for a similar software switch in my Oppo Find's ColorOS and I haven't seen one. Is this possible?

My phone is Oppo Reno5 4G. The phone unfortunately goes into a bootloop after installing an update. The problem is I can't enter recovery mode. I tried different combinations and nothing worked (hold the power button and volume up (it just forced restart, I think). I tried the power button and volume down, but it didn't work. I also tried pressing all the buttons, and it also didn't work. I've searched online and it says that you need to press the power button and volume down to go to recovery mode, but it's not working for me. I've tried different software, but nothing worked. And unfortunately, it seems like my USB debugging is deactivated, though I have no means of confirming this. I've tried connecting to PC and holding the power button and volume up and it would go blackout and the PC seems able to recognize it. I've done a lot of research but nothing seems to be working. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would appreciate it, or even just help me if there's a PC software that can fix this.

Some application use the "secure keyboard" of my ColorOS 12.1 (Android 12 customized by Oppo). While my device is configured to use German language, the keyboard displayed in such apps uses the English QWERTY layout, and even worse: I'm not offered any diacritical characters when long-pressing a key. That makes it rather useless for German. So I wonder: *Is this a security feature, or is it a bug?*

based on what i found Oppo removed the fastboot binaries from my phone (Oppo A5s) and since the lk partition is the one that have it by default i would like to know how can i sort of inject the binaries into this partition

My sister lives in Japan and has recently started using OPPO f19 pro. However, her sim is not registering on the device. She inserted her old Pakistani sim and it works but she obviously can't use the sim for texting or calling the people living in Japan. She can't even call on whatsapp. How to make the Japanese Sim work on this device? There is no problem with the SIM, it's just not registering on that device.

I transfered all my data from my Huawei to my oppo without any trouble, except my recordings. I was able to transfere them but the date of creation was reset. I really want to keep this information, but I haven't found a way. I already transfered my recordings from my Huawei P20 lite to my huawei P30 lite in April, and when I look in the file, all my recordings older than April 2021 has their date set to 13.04.21, but the date is the good one in the recordings app. It makes me really wonder where this information is stored. I can't get into fastboot mode on my Oppo F1s (A1601), Android 5.1. Here is what I'm doing: - adb and fastboot are installed on Mac - I have developer options and OEM unlock enabled - In the terminal, adb devices shows my phone - I enter adb reboot-bootloader but it does not say "fastboot mode" on the screen like I have read it is supposed to. It just restarts my phone. (note I have tried variations like reboot_bootloader; same result) Am I doing it wrong or is fastboot not on this phone? Or is it hidden somehow? The solution should be Mac supported, also I have windows 10 on a virtual machine.

I don't like the stock phone and messaging app of Oppo R9s (CPH 1607). Even when I install 3rd-party apps, the phone defaults to stock every time a call or message comes through. I am desperate to root it. How can this be done?

I'm currently facing this issue: after the ColorOS 12 update on my OPPO find X3 lite, my phone was showing the warning of flash memory full (128 GB). Even removing files, cache, apps and other stuff, after very little time it was showing the warning again. Long story short, I found that the system is creating multiple copies of the same folder under the path "system/proc/12566/task", there are currently 98 folders using roughly 1,3 GB each. Is it a system bug? Should I try to remove these folders? Anyone's already faced this issue by chance?

I'm badly in need of help with my broken Android device. The XDA community is where I always found most information on those matters so I'm hoping someone can help me out. Some background on everything that went on today: I recently bought an Oppo A73 (non-5G version), I live in Romania so the best I can offer are these links for the store I got it from: Source 1 Source 2 My grievance with the device is how it comes with an Android distribution called ColorOS which is filled with bloatware and things being shoved in my face. I was discussing this today and someone brought up adb explaining how I could use the command to remove unwanted system packages. I used it to get rid of some things I wanted nothing to do with, such as Rakuten and Heytap. For some mind boggling reason it appears those garbage packages were connected even to the core system: The device became unable to start up and entered a boot loop. This forced me to do a factory reset from recovery mode, causing me to lose all contacts and SMS messages as I didn't think to back them up first. After that ordeal I want my phone to use the default Android distribution: I'd rather have just Google involved with my phone over all those insane extra services, I'm not going back to this broken bloated OS. Someone explained to me the basics of ADB and DSU Loader. After enabling Developer Mode I was able to enable the "OEM Unlock" feature then use the DSU Loader option to download a DSU package. My two options are "GSI ARM64" and "GSI+GMS ARM64" I used the later as advised. After the download completed I was prompted to restart my device in order to boot into the new image which I did from the notification. The phone however would only boot into ColorOS each time. I was told this must be because I need to use the commands fastboot oem unlock and fastboot reboot after adb reboot bootloader. The problem is that while adb recognizes my device, fastboot does not due to driver issues. I spent hours trying to find some format in which fastboot would detect the device but everything seems to be broken, that's presently what I need your help with. I only use Linux these days, Manjaro KDE more precisely: I have a Windows 7 image and in an attempt to find a solution I downloaded Windows 10 as well: I installed Win 10 in VirtualBox and proceeded to install every update and driver I could find, following articles explaining how to get the driver for Oppo A73. If VBox is the issue, I will in an extreme scenario consider using a separate hard drive on my mother's computer to temporarily install Windows just to do this. I strongly hope that won't be necessary however, and this can be solved with a live tool or Linux distribution that has the necessary drivers.

This app just popped up on my Oppo A74 running Android version 11 and I can't open it, and it doesn't have a name. I haven't downloaded anything today, and this app only came a few hours ago, so there's no chance of it being an app whose icon the developer forgot to put in. I am also not using an external SD card. I can move it around while holding but I can't delete it nor remove it from the home screen. Clicking it gives the following prompt "Failed to read app data. Cannot run the app". When I long-press it, only app info comes up, clicking that does nothing, it doesn't show any info. What is this app? Is it safe?

I want to root my phone, install custom recovery and eventually a custom ROM. For this, I need to unlock the bootloader. I have an Oppo A5 2020 CPH1931. It should go into bootloader when I press volume+ and power buttons together for 5 seconds after completely turning off the phone. But when I do this, it boots like normal. Tried all different combinations and durations. I am able to boot into recovery but not fastboot mode. I have turned on the "OEM unlocking" option in developer options. I tried it through ADB, it says fastboot on the screen for half a second and then once again jumps back to normal booting. I also tried to already put the fastboot command "fastboot oem unlock". When it says I use another terminal to try to boot into fastboot with ADB. But this does not work (also tried this with "fastboot flashing unlock"). By the way, my devices only shows up with adb devices when I select transfer files upon connecting the USB cable. When I select just charge it doesn't even show. There are tons of guides online on how to enter the bootloader of this device, so it must have been possible at some point. I considered trying to revert to an old STOCK ROM that still has fastboot.
