I have a Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit2 Pro and a Samsung Galaxy Note9. I installed the [Speedo On](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedo) app on the phone, which requires a companion Speedo On app from the Galaxy Store for the watch.
> Samsung - If you have a Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro watch or a Samsung Gear watch, please ensure that the Speedo On app is installed on both your smartphone and your watch. To download the watch app: Select “Settings”, Select “Samsung Galaxy apps”, Search “Speedo On”, Select “Install”
However, when I search for this app in the Galaxy Store, it does not show up in the results.
I called Speedo and they assured that the device is supported and I saw reviews in the App Store with people saying they are using it the Fit2 Pro.
Does anyone have this issue? Is there a way to side-load the app to the watch?

I have gear s3 frontier and I connect it to my galaxy s7 edge phone. It works great but for last 2 weeks when I open samsung gear app in my phone it show a dialog with this message:
> Notice
>
> A new version is available. Update the app to continue
I can't ignore it and the only option I have is to press the Update button. After that it show a screen that say :
> Preparing to connect ...
When the progress bar complete, the app close automatically and disconnect the watch.
I checked "google play" and "Galaxy Apps" but there is no update available for "Samsung Gear" app. and currently I can't connect my watch to my phone.
The solution I tried to fix this problem:
- I tried to uninstall Samsung Gear app and install it again with google play. It worked for few days but after that I have the above problem again
- I use the option of "Connect to new phone" on my watch. It factory reset the watch and connected my watch to phone. But again after a few days I have the above problem.
How can I solve this problem. I seriously offended because both of my phone and watch was Samsung flagships but they can't connect to each other. If I can't solve this problem I will throw away my phone and watch and I will buy an iphone x with apple watch.

I think it's safe to say the Google Cardboard has no electronic components inside the headset, right? So that's off the list.

A while back I got a Samsung Gear 2 Neo, when I had a Galaxy device to pair it with.
Unfortunately, my phone got stolen.
I waited for the Nexus 5X to be my replacement phone and also got a Samsung Tab S2 9.7.
I was surprised that the Gear 2 Neo is not supported by the very recent Tab S2 9.7. It still makes no sense. The Gear Manager doesn't even install.
So my Gear 2 Neo is just sitting and still new.
**How can I use of it?** It seems such a waste and rather insincere that Samsung does not support the Gear 2 Neo on even recent devices.

A few months earlier, I got a Samsung Galaxy S4. Immediately I rooted it and used NoBloat to unistall some stock apps. One of those apps was Gear Manager, since I didn't plan to get one at the time, and if I did I'd just reinstall it from Samsung Apps.
I just got a Gear 2 and installed Gear Manager. When I launched the app it states that my device is incompatible (even though it is).
This leads me to believe that the package I uninstalled was a daemon or helper for the app to manage my Gear with. If so, then where can I get the APK for the daemon.
P.S.: Factory reset is an unviable option as I can't backup Google Authenticator, therefore I'd lose access to multiple online accounts.
P.P.S.: Software update is also impossible as I'd lose my root access.
EDIT: If anyone has a rooted Galaxy S4, please give me a NoBloat backup.
EDIT: Well, I just uninstalled Samsung Apps Package for Gear Manager, rebooted the phone and apparantly it works now. It looks like the preinstalled Samsung apps work like the Google apps, they both have a base package already installed, but updates and the like are distributed as patches.

i've been trying to find a way to allow all my notifications and phone calls from my phone ( galaxy s3 or galaxy s5) to go through a galaxy tablet, as i'm wanting to replace my car stereo ( honda civic 2007) with the tablet and i'm wanting to be able to control my phone from the tablet and stream music from the phone. the closest thing i can think of that does this is the galaxy gear watch so can we put the capabilities of the gear in the tab.
below is a list of things i wish to have.
- Hands free
- music sync or transfer
- control music
- allow the use of my data from my phone ( i know i can tether but i just thought i would mention it
- make calls
- view contacts from phone
- use maps
I really do think this is possible, so if anyone has any thoughts if this is possible then please help me out.

I would like an increasing "disturbance", like first only wibrating gear. Later attamps should start with the same, but move to more effects, from both Gear and Phone.
Also important is that one of the devices go off if the other is out of battery (or in a mode where it doesn't do anything)

I got excited about the prospect of writing code for a watch and ordered a Samsung Galaxy Gear. Currently the device does nothing unless paired with a Samsung phone running the proper version of the official software.
My goal is to enable debug mode and use adb to install apps, not necessarily use all the phone-gear functionalities.
Any idea on how to do anything without a Galaxy phone? The obvious answer is no, but I'm hoping some clever hacker in this site may have found a way.

Device: Samsung Galaxy Gear paired with Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
I am receiving notifications on the Gear from the Note, so I know it is connected.
I have turned Auto Lock on. When I did this, it asked me for a new unlock pattern and backup PIN, which I gave. Now, when I hold the Note 3, it has reverted to just "swipe to unlock". However, when put the watch down on the table and walk away (5 metres, ten meters), the Note 3 doesn't lock.
Below is a Screen shot from Note 3 showing: Gear Manager > Settings > Auto lock turned on.
