To me, that would indicate that it has the capability to display your contact's birthdays on the calendar app. However, I've got it set to "On" and only a few of my contact's birthdays are showing up.
Can anyone tell me how to get all my contact's birthdays to show up?

I've recently found my old Galaxy S6 in a drawer, where it's been sitting for the last ~1.5 years. In that time, the battery has swollen very badly, pictures below:
I need to so something about the phone, as I feel it might be a fire hazard to keep this at home especially when I'm not present during the day.
Naturally I'm not going to attempt to charge the battery or turn the phone on in this state.
I would like to remove the battery and take it to a recycling/ewaste collection point. I'd make sure to take precautions when removing the battery to avoid puncturing it or applying pressure, but with this level of swelling, is just handling the phone/battery dangerous? If so, I could instead take it to a technician to remove the battery or just recycle the entire phone - but I'd still need to carry the phone there, obviously, so some risk would remain.
Is there a risk of a sudden explosion or fire without warning?

I pulled out a Samsung Galaxy S6 that has not been used in a while. **It has never been rooted or had custom software**, and it was working last time. But now it was not starting up, it got stuck at the boot animation with blinking Samsung logo.
When booting in recovery mode, it said "dm-verity error", which indicates corrupt system files. I do not care about the contents, I am okay with wiping the phone.
I booted in download mode and tried flashing the original software with Odin 3.14 on a Windows 10 computer. This phone is SM-G920F from Vodafone Italy. [I downloaded the newest software from SamMobile, G920FXXU6EVG1.](https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s6/firmware/SM-G920F/OMN/download/G920FXXU6EVG1/1676670/)
Odin failed while transferring system.img and now the phone only starts up to a screen saying "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software." Download mode works, but recovery mode does not.
I downloaded and installed Smart Switch and tried the emergency recovery initialization. It stops, saying "This model does not support firmware upgrades and initialization."
Trying to flash the software with Odin again fails at sboot.bin.
With re-partition option enabled, it says Can't open the specified file (Line: 2006). With erase nand option enabled, it fails at Erase... All fails occur almost instantly.
This phone has re-activation lock enabled, so flashing a custom recovery like TWRP also fails (I do not mind tripping Knox), with error "Custom Recovery Blocked By R/L". **I know the Google and Samsung account credentials** to remove the lock, but the phone needs to start up to enter them!
Other things attempted in vain:
* Re-installing drivers from Smart Switch
* Older version of Odin (3.10)
* Older version of Windows (7)
* Different USB cable (works fine with other devices)
* Different USB port (2.0)
* Rebooting the phone between each attempt
* The older software that phone was running (G920FXXU6ERF5)
* The software with four files (BL, AP, CP, CSC instead of just AP)
* Extracting the .pit file from the CSC file and adding it to the Pit tab in Odin
* Flashing only recovery.img (extracted from the .tar.md5 file and put into a new .tar file and added to AP)
* The generic Italian software (ITV instead of OMN)
I even tried hijacking R/L with Hagard's tool, which claims to succeed, but the lock is still on.
The only way to shut the phone off is by letting the battery run out or disconnecting it.
How can the original software be flashed to this phone to get it to start up again, with or without data? Please help.

I saw this thread where this issue was resolved for the S6 Edge. I have the S6, so closing it from the Edge is obviously not an option here. My screen is completely locked up. I can't even answer phone calls. I'm having to use my table to send texts via MightyText, but I can't make calls, take pictures, or even power off the phone. How can I fix this? My current plan is to let the battery die and then reboot it, but I'd really like to be able to fix this sooner.
I can't comment on the other thread because I don't have enough points. I know this isn't worth another new thread, but I was locked out of the other.
I'm running stock Android, whatever the latest release was for the S6. Help!

So, I have my old, and broken Samsung Galaxy S6, and I have some plans for it, but I need to get it to a "factory status" in terms of user data, meaning that I need to wipe everything but system.
Right now I'm in a weird position, since the screen is partially broken, meaning that I cant see but I can touch. Luckily for me, that isn't a barrier, since I was able to connect to ADB and use scrcpy to navigate the phone.
The thing is that the phone dosent wants to be wiped. I dont know what could it be. At first, I tried on the stock ROM. Went to settings and looked for the factory reset menu, did all the confirmations and proceeded with the supposed wipe. After giving it some time, I noticed the phone was dead cold, and I thought maybe it had shut down instead of rebootng. After I turned on the phone on back again, I was greated with the old lockscreen, meaning that nothing at all was wiped. This was with the stock recovery, since flashing TWRP and booting into the system would re-install the stock recovery. I tried many many times, and also tried to unplug the USB after seeng the "rebooting" text, thinking that the usb could be triggering the charging screen to be loaded instead of the recovery.
Since I was totally unsuccesfull, I went ahead and with no screen, installed Resurrection Remix OS. After manually adding the ADB key.pub to the corresponding path to the phone and enabling usb debugging by editing build.prop,Ii was able to set up the phone using scrcpy, and immediatly after doing so, I went ahead and tried to wipe the phone again, just to find out that it also wont do any changes. Since I cant see the screen, I dont know if some "confirmation menu" is being displayed, so I'm stuck at this point.
And, to add to the problem, the openrecoveryscript present on the latest official version of TWRP is lacking the
format data
command, and also, wont allow me to do wipe sdcard
.
My last thought is to manually wipe partition by partition the hard way (without openrecoveryscript) and hopefully free all that used storage. Since probably not so many people have tried to wipe partition by partition using adb shell, I wasnt able to find any info on google, so I thought I might as well ask here.

What does the following icon that looks like a phone with a WiFi signal in my status bar indicate? And how do I remove it?
As far as I know, I didn't turn any setting on that triggered it. I can't find the icon online. My first guess was that it was either VoLTE or VoIP or WiFi calling, but I do not have any of these as options on my phone.
The icon does not go away unless I turn off WiFi. Below are screenshots of my full home screen and of the open notification panel.
The screenshot below is of my phone's "Call Settings". I have no 'Wi-Fi Calling' option. According to guides online, it should come after the 'Vibrate' option. The screenshot below is the results when searching 'Wi-Fi' in settings. No call options come up.
---
It definitely is the Wi-Fi Calling icon (even though I do not have it as an option on my phone) -- I tested it now and I can phone my contacts when in flight mode.

When using the stock camera app on a Samsung Galaxy S6 phone, I sometimes get the error **"Server error occurred. Restart Camera."**
It's then necessary to close the camera app and restart it. It's a hassle that often results in missing photographic shots. Plus, the last photo taken is not saved.
I have tried clearing the data and cache for the camera app. I have also updated the stock ROM to the latest Nougat version available. I have performed a factory reset. Finally, I have sent in the phone ***THREE TIMES*** to Samsung for repairs. None of these actions has resulted in a solution.
Questions:
- What is causing this?
- What server is the error referring to?
- What is the solution to prevent this error?
