Google+ Auto Backup does not upload older photos. How to reset?
I began to use Google+ Auto Backup for the photos, and I silly used the full quality option. So when I run out of space, I decided to switch back to standard quality, so not to use the allocated space. I began to use Google+ Auto Backup for the photos, and I silly used the full quality option. So when I run out of space, I decided to switch back to standard quality, so not to use the allocated space.
Problem is, the already uploaded photos didn't switch to the standard quality and kept on occupying space. So I deleted them and tried to start over the back up with the standard quality. But it's only uploading new photos and I cannot find the way to make it upload the older photos in standard quality. How to solve it?

My device details are as follows:
**Model:** Google Nexus 7 (2012)
**OS:** Android 4.4.2
**Google+ Build version:** 4.2.3.56698342
**Edit**: I use a Wifi on a proxy server for connection, and that's when the problem arises. When on a direct connection, the app works fine. But on proxy server, it has stopped working since the last update. Prior to this update, the app worked fine even on a proxy server.

My 1GB data pack (3G) was running out a bit faster than normal, so I started investigating using the Data Usage tool (Android 4.1.2 Nexus S). That's when I found out the Google+ app had used 300 MB in 3 days, and all of it was background data.

I don't remember using the app much at all, yet it almost burned through my data pack. I've set the Instant Upload settings to only upload when connected to Wi-fi, and roaming uploads are disabled too. I disabled background as soon as I figured it out, but I still don't know how and why it used up so much data. Any pointers?

I have some photos that show up in gallery>picasa, but not in the photos app. I know these photos were downloaded pictures from a previous phone, off a received email I believe. I may or may not have deleted them before on the google+ photos list on the web. After switching to a new phone with the same SD card, they are still there, unable to delete in gallery because they supposedly come from picasa web. Please help.

I recently loaded some videos from my PC to my phone (running Jelly Bean) and got the most recent Google Plus app. I was going to turn on 'Instant Upload' so that it backs up my photos quickly, but realized that it also wants to upload the videos I put on my phone.
Is there a way I can get it to not upload videos from my phone (or have it ignore things in a certain directory on my phone)?

How to prevent WhatsApp images and other local pictures folders appearing from Google+ Photos app?
I've enabled auto backup for camera photos except local folders. Although local folders are not uploaded to the cloud, Photos app keeps showing these folders and making a mess. I'd like to have this app clean with only camera photos just like Dropbox's Carousel do.

Override Google+ profile picture for my contacts
I have a contact with a Google+ account. Whenever I search her for Hangouts or call, I get the picture from her Google+ account. It does not matter if I go to google.com/contacts and I set up a new image. I will still keep seeing their Google+ image. Is there any way to override it?

Ever since I upgraded my Google+ app on Friday (3.3.0.40049528) one of my favorite features, Image Instant Upload, is not working.
One of the big changes in [this release](http://gplusproject.appspot.com/tis-the-season-for-shipping) was that instant upload could now upload full size images, rather than limiting them to 2048px.
* I have plenty of available storage (4GB out of 5GB available)
* I have force stopped the Google+ app as well as cleared the data at least once
* The phone (Verizon Galaxy Nexus) has been restarted a couple of times
* I am using the stock camera app for my testing
* The settings were not changed when I updated Google+, but I have confirmed that Instant Upload is set to allow photo uploads on wifi as well as mobile data. I do not have "upload only when charging" turned on, and there is plenty of battery available.
Any ideas? Have I got a bug that needs an update?

I need some help or clarification on if I can change my Gamertag in the few games that I play on my Android Device. For example, my First Name last Initial shows up along with my Picture in all the games when I log in. However, I would like it to show the picture but have a gamertag or use a different name other then my own.
Real Racing 3 is a prime example. There are a ton of users using Gamertags/Avatars, however, you can only login using Facebook, some chinese website and Google +. There is no where in there to change your name. I have looked everywhere.
Also if you look at your trophies I would like it to show my NEW USERNAME.
Does anyone have an answer or suggestion?
Can I create a second Google+ account and not lose all the points I have acquired? I have searched everywhere for months actually as the answers to most questions are usually found with a simple search.

I do not follow anyone on Google+, although some people might follow me.
I have hundreds of phone numbers in my phone's contacts app which syncs with Google.
I do not wish to see reviews about an app posted by my phone contacts unless they're actually worth seeing there, I want to see reviews based on their usefulness or upvotes and I want to see reviews from total strangers mostly.
**How can I achieve this?**
OnePlus One, Cyanogen OS 13.1 non-rooted, stock, up to date so far.
Apps including Store, Services, Google+ and everything up to date so far.

I'm still getting used to the Auto Backup functionality in the Photos app. I turned this feature on and all my photo's are correctly synced to Google+.
When I delete a photo on my phone (Nexus 5) it also gets deleted on Google+. However, when I delete photos on the Google+ website, they don't get deleted on my phone.
Is this just how this thing works, or is there something wrong in my setup? I tried turning off Google+ photo sync in the settings, but that didn't change anything. When I delete it on the Google+ web page, it says the photos will also be deleted on all synchronized devices, so isn't that how it's supposed to work then?
It would make it a whole lot easier to delete photos that I don't need on a big screen like my laptop, and to have them automatically deleted on my phone to free up storage space.

Google+ Auto Backup failed
When looking at my photos in the Google+ app, at the bottom is a footer that says "Backup failed" with a retry button. The backup still fails when I click Retry. Is there a way to find out why Auto Backup is failing so I can correct the problem?
