**Summary**: I want to stream Google Play movie from Android to HDMI/VGA/Composite TV, possibly through laptop. I have no idea whether it's possible or not but I'd really love some insight from some more knowledgeable people on. More in depth: I have a Galaxy S5, unrooted, that I absolutely love. First smart phone, I've been living off of a talk/text only phone previously. I also recently came home for the holidays to discover that my sister hasn't seen the Lord of the Rings! I figured I'd be smart, and use my Google Play account (with all three extended editions) to stream it through my laptop, and laptop to TV. Well, the internet here is very poor, I guess my parents get about .6 MBps? Anyways, video streaming kept buffering/loading, so I tried to move over to my phone, which has all three already downloaded into internal storage. Couldn't find a way to stream from phone to TV, the USB port wasn't gonna work. I don't have an adapter, but I do have my laptop. I tried pulling the downloaded .wvm file from the phone, but because yay DRM, that's a no go. I've done some searching, and while the AndroidScreencast project seems promising, it says it refreshes at about 5 FPS, so not very good for media streaming. So I have a phone, a laptop, and a TV. I can connect the phone to the laptop by USB or Bluetooth. Laptop to TV via HDMI or VGA. Is there any way I can play the movie on my phone, have it feeding the video to the TV/laptop, and then to the TV?

Presenting screen in Teams for Android: Screen goes blank when I move hand near camera
I have Microsoft Teams installed on my Samsung tablet. I often share my tablet screen in Teams meetings. When I move my hand near the tablet screen, the screen goes blank (temporarily). Why does this happen? Is it some sort of functionality for quickly stopping presenting in an emergency?

I noticed that Microsoft's Phone Link app does not work without an internet connection. Some other apps discover and connect directly to your mobile device via your local Wifi or USB. I am concerned that: 1. Phone Link might leaks my screen share and possibly other private info too to some unknown server of which I have no control. 2. That my expensive internet data (in a third world country) will go to waste with screen sharing. Does it streams every screen update from my phone to the outside world and then back to my PC which is connected to the same Wifi network? 3. Someone outside my home network might be able to control my phone and for example install malicious software. **What would be the purpose of the required internet connection and how does Phone Link's connectivity work behind the scenes?**

And I can't afford to buy a new one. How do I hack into it and project its screen on a PC, so that I can use it like a webcam or mini server? It shouldn't be that hard since it's such an outdated OS. Should I inject some kind of code via USB or SD card?

However, I usually have to see myself while recording video, to control my facial expressions, and with a rear-facing camera it's just not possible. I know ADB allows for screenshots, but is there a way to *stream* the screen output to my PC's display? Not necessarily at 20+ fps, just a couple frames per second will do.

I am specifically not looking for an App. The reason is that I want to just be able to send a link to a friend without them having to download an app. Also sharing part of the screen, for example a tab on a browser would be super useful! If this is not possible please recite the source. I am curious mainly about the mainstream browsers(since they are usually already installed on most phones) - Chrome(and other Chromium browsers), Firefox, Safari(I know this is not Android), Samsung Internet. I would still also appreciate information on any other browser! If you know anything about plans for the future of this feature if it does not exist I would also be interested in that! Maybe there is there a website I can use to share my screen on Android or do phone browsers not support screen sharing? a really good example for this is Screen Meet which really goes half way, but still requires the user which shares to download an app but not the users who view the screen sharing unlike Facebook Messenger and Skype which force both users to download an app and even register. A good example for The PC is Kosmi .

I bought an Android tablet for my grandma (Amazon Fire 8 HD - but I got Google Play Store working) and if she has any questions I want her to be able to share her screen with me (I live far away). I want to see her tablet screen on my Android phone or my PC. As an additional feature I would like to be able to talk to her to say what she should do. Basically what I want is exactly what Skype can do on a PC (talking and screen sharing) unfortunately the Skype Android app can't do that(?). I found a few apps like "ScreenShare" and others but they didn't seem to work when our devices are in different WiFi Networks. Does anyone know an app or a way that can do the trick?

It's a non-rooted Samsung Galaxy S5 with the latest OTA update (Marshmallow) installed. --- **What I've tried:** I already googled for s5 marshmallow screen mirroring missing and tried the following recommendations: * Pull down the notification shade, click Edit and activate the Screen Mirroring option. On my device, *there is no such option*. * Click "Quick Connect" on the notification shade and register the TV stick as a TV device. Tried that, but the only option I have is to *"Share content"*. It does not offer to share my screen. Here are two a screen shots as proof. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious... screenshot of the quick access icons screenshot of the Quick Connect screen

The idea would be to have each person in the meeting, with its individual tablet, see what a "meeting-leader" is seeing on his own tablet, navigating through the web or using apps. I see some solutions that seem to be mostly directed into remote-control, but what I want is just to screencast in realtime to multiple receivers, privately. The ability to let some other person take control would also be nice, but not mandatory. How could I set this up?

Has anybody used this setup? As a teacher it would make a smartboard out of my tablet (which i would buy for this purpose, amongst few others) and a simple bluetooth dongle which I could plug in the school PC. Looks simple to me, but probably isn't as simple as I imagine? I'm even prepared to pay a fee for an app if this is available.
