I would like to know is there any way to **backup Samsung A20s device through download mode/bootloader mode?** My device went into bootloop tried so many things only left to reinstall firmware but its lost user data so i need to backup before doing that any way? How it happens- - Charging over night besides my bed, - My hand touch the adapter and some cracks in the socket heard - The charger still working and charging other stuffs. - In the morning my device turned off randomly. - When I wakeup the device shows you >Device unable to bootup normally with suggesting three options >1. Try again - tried so many times still fails >2. Wipe app data (which is I think safe but needs a backup before doing that, thats what I'm looking for right now) >3. Poweroff - even after powered off its on again (automatically without my actions) and kept doing the bootloop Well why I mentioned the charging case is because that's the only thing i know before this happening (I'm in sleeping too not remember what happens after that),and I doubt if its any in case trouble in the mobile board so that's why I mentioned. Likely I don' think it was that but a doubt. And **I am able to enter recovery mode and bootloader mode (entering via recovery and show download mode (idk is that download or bootloader mode or these 2 things are same, I tried a backup using download mode in realme devices but not with Samsung)** And when I tried to enter recovery it shows a android image and with error text labeled under the image. It shows for a split second and boots into recovery mode. Also happens with powerup mid bootloop (when I saw this I thought some firmware bug. Because of this, that I thought the charging case is not the issue, not sure till now. Is there any way i can fix this? have any method to backup?

Manual restore from local backup (msgstore.db.crypt14) → My USB-C port is broken, so I had to transfer the files over Wi-Fi using file manager tools. → The folder structure and filenames were 100% correct (/WhatsApp/Databases), but the new phone ignored the backup and started fresh. 3. Third-party tools (like WazzapMigrator & iCareFone) → Didn’t help or couldn’t access data properly. 4. Clearing cache, reinstalling, airplane mode tricks, changing SIM first, etc. → No change – still 69%. **What I’m considering**: I could live without the media files, if there’s any way to extract only the text/chat history from the backup. Is it possible to manually trim the backup size (e.g. remove media from the Drive backup)? Can the local .crypt14 be repaired or force-used? **Key question**: Is this a size issue (30 GB too large)? Or is the Google Drive backup possibly corrupted? I just need to access the text – the chat history is my entire business.

My phone is a Samsung S23 Ultra running Android 14. Whenever I check my notifications history for WhatsApp on my Android phone’s Notification history, a few of my notification’s history states “Custom app notification”. The messages are not there. Also, when I open the custom app notification and filter it for "Whatsapp", in my notification history it says “Media playback”. What does this mean?

I am using Kali NetHunter on a rooted Android device, and I'm encountering an issue with Bluetooth. Whenever I try to enable Bluetooth through the GUI or using the command line, it simply doesn't turn on. I can see the Bluetooth icon, but it stays stuck on "Turning on." It was working in the beginning, I could connect to headphone, I sent a video file from PC to tablet via Bluetooth.

How difficult is it to go back to unrooted once you've rooted a device with Unrevoked?

I have a Poco X3 Pro and I went into Android settings chose 'manage apps', selected Reddit and 'clear all data'. I also tried clearing all app permissions and forcing the app to stop before choosing to clear all data again but when I open the app again it automatically logs me in with my account. So will uninstalling the app actually clear the data completely? Does it have hidden folders where it holds the data that I can locate and delete myself?

I use the Airbnb app on my Android phone. I'm looking at some Airbnb listing pondering whether to book it. Since it's for this weekend, I'd prefer an accommodation that has instant booking, but since I'm also still open to any accommodation, I'd prefer not to restrict the list of Airbnb listings to only the ones that have instant booking (which is possible to do as a filter). Therefore, I wonder: How do I know if an Airbnb listing has instant booking when looking at an Airbnb listing?

I have galaxy J7 and lineageOS 17.1. When I send a file with KDE connect from my phone to another device (another phone or a laptop) I am successfull, but in reverse not. For example when I try to send a file with KDE connect from my laptop to my phone a notification appears saying "failed receiving file from ...".

My Pixel 8 seems to be stuck thinking that an external monitor is still connected, despite having disconnected it hours ago. My friend let me connect my Pixel 8 to his portable monitor via USB-C to try it out. That worked fine and then I disconnected it. But now, hours later, I still see the external display icon in the top bar and I see "External Display" listed as "on" under "Other devices" in Settings > Connected devices. Beyond this, there are other oddities: I get no sound from my phone when I play videos (because it's trying to play sound on the phantom display?). When I take screenshots, I get two at a time (one of the phone screen, one of the phantom display?). As far as I can tell, there is no way to tell the phone that it's disconnected. Tapping on "External Display" takes me to a screen that lets me change the rotation on the external display and shows its resolution, but there's no control to disconnect. Long pressing, swiping, etc on "External Display" do nothing. I don't see any way to make the phone realize the display is not connected. I've tried a few other things to try to fix it: - Connecting my phone to my PC with a different USB-C cable - Connecting to a monitor of my own with USB-C to DisplayPort (although, the phone doesn't recognize this monitor) - Plugging a USB-C cable in to the phone with nothing on the other end - Unplugging the USB-C cable - Turning airplane mode on and off - Locking/unlocking I haven't tried restarting yet, because it seems crazy that my phone is stuck thinking it's got a display attached when there is literally nothing connected.

I wanted to give Firefox for Android a try (I'm a long-time Chrome user), but after installing it from the Play Store, I discovered it refuses to load any website, always showing this security warning that cannot be ignored: This happens on all sites and only on Firefox for Android, the same sites load correctly in Chrome and also load correctly in Firefox running on a Windows computer that is on the same network as my Android device. Any clues as to why this is happening? I'm running Firefox 105.1.0 on Android 12.

I've been looking into this and reading articles for the last hour or so, and haven't come up with anything. The simple version of what I'm trying to do, is when my kids are grounded or at school that I'd like to turn their smartphones into a dumb phone. They need to be able to call my wife or myself in case of emergency, call specific contacts if we're not available, but not chat with all their friends. If someone can point me in the right direction for where these controls are located I'd very much appreciate it. The 'Phone' app is not listed in FamilyLink under the apps I'm able to 'always allow' and there's no way I can see for me to limit calls to specific numbers. I'm totally open to third-party apps if there's a paid solution to this out there.

I have an extra phone, i.e., Samsung SGH-i997, at home. A while back, I installed **Clockwork Recovery** and installed CyanogenMod ROM on it. Then somehow, out of stupidity or accident, it went back into recovery mode, and everything on the phone was wiped. It even deleted Clockwork Recovery, and I guess that even the factory firmware isn't there anymore. Now every time I turn on the phone, it automatically goes to the default recovery mode with 4 options - reboot system now - apply update from SD card - wipe data factory reset - wipe cache partition I have tried switching it to **download mode** and connecting it with my laptop, but the drivers are not recognized. I also tried installing kies, which I thought would help with the driver issue, but it didn't. I guess there isn't any firmware inside that the driver would connect to. Now the only way left to somehow copy something to the phone is via an SD card. I tried copying several different Android firmware and mods to the SD card, but I think the default recovery mode doesn't use the external SD card but the phone's internal SD storage, which i why everybody is using Clockwork Recovery instead of default. I am really tired of searching for a solution to this issue. If anyone out there has done something similar or can somehow show me how to go into the shell, I might be able to find my way. I went ahead and let my phone update itself and since then it's been really SLOW. Phone calls take 5-45 seconds to connect, which is beyond aggravating. Apps don't run as fast as they use to. And I am constantly reconnecting the Mobile network because it keeps losing it. Anyone have similar and get around it??

I want to access the internet connection of my first android phone with my second android phone, via usb. I am sensitive to wifi/network radiation emissions, so I want to connect the first phone via wifi or 3G network to the internet, and have internet access through a long usb cable, from my second phone, set on airplane mode. I have a Galaxy S2 HD LTE SHV-120S Android version 4.0, rooted and stable The second phone I have yet to purchase. Are there apps to enable this? Drivers?

I’ve got my hands on a pair of Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9500 which I’d like to repair/renew, but their batteries are sadly bloated, and I’ve been unable to find replacements. The 3,7V 5,9Wh batteries are labelled as EB-LIDTIBA, but I’ve been unable to find any information about them. What’s more, their dimensions (60 mm × 44 mm × 4 mm) are smaller and do not correspond to the standard EB-B600 battery. How to share files between a regular account and a work account? I've researched and I can't find anything. What I am missing?

My phone is running MIUI 12.5 (rooted if it matters) and some apps just push individual notifications so each notification I get, shows up in its own bubble instead of showing them all under a group of notifications for this same app. It's really hard since it takes up all my screen and if I want to search for notifications from a certain app I have to go over all the other notifications from the other apps.. Is there a way to force notifications from the same app to be grouped together in my notification bar?
